Catnip, Storms, Bravery & Planners

On Wednesday, I was given a heap of Catnip by my Assistant Assistant Boss Linda W. I expressed my appreciation by passing out next to it for a good hour and a half:

I would have stayed in the position ALL DAY, but I heard the pitter-patter of little feet and a high-pitched voice say "Look Mommy, a kitty!" and so this is where I ended up:

(Please note the heap of abandoned Catnip, as well as the still-pink and Unmancatly Feline Training Device Box under the chair.)

On Thursday we had Thunderboomers. I am Not A Fan of storms and the accompanying Thunderboomers. I feel that when the storms get going, the absolute most safest place for me to be is on the stairs:

Apparently no one else felt that this was an adequately safe place (something about getting Stepped On!) and they tried to move me to other places in the Library, but I would have none of it. I wanted to be on the stairs. So my Staff took turns guarding me on the stairs--they weren't worried about being Stepped On! If they were so worried about me but were willing to risk their lives watching over me, I must have a Very Brave Library Staff.

Here is another picture. In this picture, AAB Christine has gotten her planner out. This is a book that she opens, scribbles some words in, and then forgets to open for a week or so. Then she gets mad at herself because apparently she was supposed to DO something about the words she scribbled. I have decided that this planner should be recycled as a Seat for Tober:

Thank you for reading this slightly weird post. This is what happens when my Blog Helper is too busy doing stuff like ordering books. Everybody have Wonderful Weekends!

The most important thing on anyone's To-Do List,

Tober

Hi Tober! Wow, that nip pile must have been awesome for you to spend so much time with it - to bad that those little kids had to show up and ruin your good time!

And we agree with you on the thunderboomers - we are NOT fans either!! We don't go for the stairs, we go for the closet upstairs, but our mom is like your staff, she tries to move us someplace "safer", but not because we might get stepped on, because there are windows all over upstairs.

And we think that your new seat is great - it looks very comfy - but of course it is made with paper, which is always a great spot to sit or nap on.

We hope you and your staff all have a great weekend!

We don't have any stairs to hide on during thunder boomers. Maybe we should move?

Tober ~ I adore you !!!

They keep you so busy over there. How did you get to the stairs ?

You abandoned cat nip? That must have been something very scary to make you do that.

Have a great weekend!

Tober, you have been quite busy! We think that pile of nip was just the right size.

We hide in the closet, we don't have any stairs to hide on...kudos to your Very Brave Staff for protecting you from being trodden upon.

Felix says the planner looks scrumptious for toothing!

Hi Tober! You have been a very busy boy! It must be very scarey to be in the library all by yourself at night when the boomers hit! Take care!

That's a lot of catnip! You have a good hiding place there :) And you're very lucky you have a job, don't think we ever met a cat with a job!

We don't much like the thunderboomers either. My best hiding spot is under mum's bed, right at the very back as far as I can get. My sisters are less scared of the boomers than I am, but they still find safe places to stay. (Pandora usually curls up with mum, and Zowie sits under the chair.)

I thinks you must have had super potent nip!

Kids are always scary to me!

We hardly ever get thunderboomers here. Maybe 1 a year.... but I am scared of any loud noise! In this house it is barking dogs!!

Boomies are no fun! We are very glad your staff watched out for you on while you were on the stairs.
