So it's come to my attention that people need clarification as to who actually runs the library. I know you may be thinking, it's clearly Head Human, Christine. But in thinking that you would actually be sorely mistaken. Sure, she takes care of a lot of things. But she leaves every day when it's time for the humans to skedaddle.
In fact, all the humans leave the library. And then I'm left running the place. If it weren't for me constantly monitoring what the staff are doing all day, then I'm pretty sure nothing would get done around here. I even had to put a bed downstairs where I could watch over the staff's shoulders.
Head Human Christine left her desk for 2 minutes the other day, and that was just the last straw. I immediately jumped into action and claimed her spot as Head Honcho. But then she came back and started taking my picture because she thought it was "cute"!
How am I supposed to be taken seriously as the Boss if people keep calling me "cute". "Handsome" is a much more appropriate term.
I'm considering letting her resume her role as Head Human this time because I'm a nice Boss.
Anyways, if you were wondering who's in charge around here - I'll be sitting at my new desk.
