Happy New Year!

Hi everyone! Happy New Year! Here's to a wonderful 2010 filled with blogging, catnips, scritches, dots, cords, tummy rubs, treats, paw massages, and comfortable places to nap!

I have to show you a few things. Here is my Big Christmas Present. This must be what Santa talks about when he says he will bring surprises:

My Feline Training Device.
This toy Feline Training Device has inspired a new game. I only train with it when the camera is far away. Then someone says "Take a picture of Tober 'playing with his toy'" and when I hear footsteps hurrying my way, I pose just like in the picture. I can't ever let my guard down around these people.

I helped un-decorate the Library on the day after Christmas. Let me tell you, I have never worked so hard in all my life! I stayed awake the whole day! Why? Here I am inspecting a Fake Tree that someone disassembled. Whoever was working on it got distracted and wandered off for a bit, so I took the opportunity to sniff it.

Ooooh, this is almost like Outside!
Once the un-decorating was completed, I decided to work on a little paperwork:

Where to begin? Ah, with a nap.
I have heard that paperwork would be much more fun if I still had front toenails. As it is, I sometimes mark my approval of important documents by putting my teeth in them or dribbling my special cup-water on them. This is how people know that they are Tober-approved.

Last but not least, a picture of me with a Fox.

A Fox with a Fox.
Hello, 2010!

Merry Christmas!

I hope Everycat and Everyperson is having a wonderful Christmas. I did not get very many paper cards mailed out this year because my Assistant Assistant Boss was too lazy busy to help me, so I made a little card for my bloggie.

I did not write a letter to Santa this year. I already have the best things a cat could wish for--a wonderful home complete with plenty of foods, treats, and Catnip; a full staff of humans to cater to my every whim; my Very Own Blog and my dear blogging Friends.

By next year I may have changed my mind, so I'll keep a pen and paper ready. (I am kidding.)

I plan on enjoying a restful day and unloading my stocking later--there are things in it (finally)!

Wishing you all lots of Starfish Paws,

Tober

Christmastime at the Library!

Oh my gosh, Cats (and People), it has been a long time since I have posted any news on here! We have been very busy at the Library with Christmas coming and people thinking they need Vacations (apparently no one cares that I abolished those) and other people getting bad germs and sharing them with everyone else.

My Assistant Assistant Boss Linda found an email in her junk mail from Laila and Minchie. Hi Laila and Minchie! I am fine! How DARE our spam filter put your Very Important Email in the junk mail. I will have a talk with it for you.

Here, I will try to catch you up on Christmastime at the Library.

First of all, there are trees EVERYWHERE in here, and they all have interesting things hanging from them, and shining lights, and the fake green stuff is pretty tasty. The Library was a flurry of activity after Thanksgiving when all of the decorations went up.

On December 7 we had a big Christmas Party called A Scenic Christmas at the Library. Jingle John came to the Library and brought a real live Reindeer and other arctic animals! The Reindeer was very small (for a Reindeer, I guess), but I also heard that Jingle John brought a doggie and I was not interested in being in the same room with a doggie. One of my AABs snapped a picture of John and the doggie and the Reindeer for me.

Vicious doggie alert!
Do you see that vicious doggie on the left?

Here is another picture of the Little Reindeer. It is standing in front of my Most Favorite Tree in the Library--do you know why it is my Favorite?

Apples, apples everywhere!
The party was a Very Big Success and around 350 children and adults came to see the program, make Christmas ornaments and magnets, eat cookies, and have pictures taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus. It was a very fun time, but I am glad I was safely tucked away in a staff office where I could view the activity through the windows.

In addition to the usual Christmas decorations, I am excited to report that my Stocking was hung by the chimney with care:

Fill 'er up, Staff!
I am sad to report that it appears to be EMPTY.

I suppose it would have things in it if I hadn't opened my first Christmas present early:

Oh, yay! Stuff!
I am excited that I have gotten Christmas cards and presents from some very special blogging friends. I have my Christmas card all ready to go, but sometimes it can be hard to get the Staff to help me do things like lick envelopes and apply stamps.

Since I have deprived you of my handsome self for over two weeks, I guess I'd better post another picture. The photographer has been particularly pesky this time of year, especially since now she keeps trying to put me in particular places (in front of trees, on weird chairs, in windowsills) to get a "special" picture. Well, every picture of me is special! Here is one where she finally left me alone. . . and I think it came out pretty well:

Handsomeness!
Thank you everybody for thinking of me while I was busy managing my sometimes unruly Staff! I will post again soon!

Purrs & headbutts,

A post that is not about me.

I know that this is my blog, so it should be about me, right?

Well, my Assistant Assistant Boss insisted that I post this little video. She is afraid that a Cat or Cat Lover out in the big wide world might miss out on seeing this cute (her words) kitten acting all cute (her words) and stuff.

Surprised Kitty @ Yahoo! Video

I figure I can give up one blog out of every 80 or so. Was it worth it?

Enjoy!
