My Portrait

Seeing as how I'm a Famous Library Cat and all, it was only a matter of time before an artist would come around and want to make my likeness. Well, fellow cats, I have been tastefully captured on notebook paper with #2 pencil:

This portrait was lovingly drawn by one of our Library customers, an 11-year-old girl who would come in to see me during the Summertime. As you can see, I am on the desk with my water cup, and there is no paperwork cluttering up my desk, and no computer monitor blocking my view of the Library, and I am very Happy and Alert. I think that the artist did a very good job of capturing my Handsomeness (even if she did fudge on the clean desk a bit!).

It is now hanging on my Office door since AB Karen has never had a nameplate made to put on my desk. I think this makes the office officially Mine.

On a different note, I have had to dedicate much more time to my Snoopervisory duties with some of the staff. I sometimes find it necessary to resort to spying to make sure my workers are doing their jobs correctly and efficiently:

Notice my frown. This is because she was SUPPOSED to be getting some Catnip out for me, but instead barricaded herself behind a bunch of books and pretended to be busy.

Stealthily yours,

Hi Tober! What a great portrait - we are not surprised that someone would want to do one of you, because you are so very handsome!

And we hope that if you are doing a bit more snoopervising that the staff gets better about their work - because getting the nip should be high on the priority list. That look on your face shows how disapointed you are - we are sure she will remember next time though, because you are a very good boss!

Oh, Tober, they really do overwork you there. :)

that's a neat portrait of you. Personally, we don't know what a clean desk looks like since we have to share one with Jan.

Wow, that's what a clean desk looks like! Well, we all know the only way we'll ever see one is in an artists rendering...glad they finally made the office officially yours, even though everyone knew it was right from the start.

Tober, That is a lovely portrait! The young lady artiste obviously knows you and loves you very much.

You should get a mask to wear when you are Spying on your Staff...and maybe a small pocket recorder. You could rig up a vest to hold all your spy equipment!

Tober~yourportrait is quite wonderful! Meowm wishes she could draw that good!

Staff! They just require so much snoopervision! Getting your catnip should be the first on the list of things to do...and it should get done quickly! We hopeyou can get your staff whipped into some sort of shape soon!

What a great portrait! Very pawsome.

We admire your dedication to your werk, Tober. Hoomins just need sooooo much snoopervision. We hope they 'preciate it.
