Excuses & Treachery

First of all, I did NOT receive 2:00 am Daylight Savings Time Visits from ANYONE on my staff. I am now taking applications for new AABs. If you're interested, just mail me a resume and several bags of Temptations.

Speaking of Mail, I'm finding that more and more people are using Library business as an excuse to contact, praise, and discuss me.

Exhibit #1: This is a Thank-you card from a person who visited the Library to do some Genealogy research.


Inside was a note to AB Karen and words, words, words and then:


Regards to Tober. Yes, this person was happy with our Genealogy help, but I think it was really just an excuse to send her regards to Me!

Exhibit #2:

Today we got a promotional card about an Indiana author's new book, and a personal note was included from a librarian!


Not really an Exhibit, but #3:

I have intercepted a disturbing email conversation between my Assistant Traitor Boss and another Library Director (you know who you are). Apparently there is some confusion about who writes my blog posts. Hrmph. Treachery! ATB Karen says that she and AAB Christine write my blog posts! Hrmph. I don't think so.

I have 85 Followers. They couldn't get 85 Followers if they were dragging 85-lb. bags of Catnip-crusted Salmon behind them.

I write my own stuff.


And I'm watching for more treachery.

Are you ready?

I have been told that Daylight Savings Time is going to start soon. I've never paid attention to such things before, but as Boss of the Library, I've decided that I need to be included in these weird Human observances.

So I got ready.


I had to get my AAB to take the lid off, because otherwise how will the Daylight get in there?

Do you think my jar is big enough? Do I need to punch holes in the lid, or will that let the Daylight out? Maybe I need a bucket.

Now all that's left to do is wait.



Expecting a 2 a.m. visit from my staff so that all of the clocks can be changed in a timely fashion,

Sometimes I need a change of scenery, so I go Boss at another desk. They're all My desks and Offices anyway.

AAB Britta has always wondered how she gets cat furs in her chair, since I never sleep in her office. Well, I've just never been caught. Until now:

Blog Post, Interrupted

I was going to make a really Awesome blog post for everybody.


But it's exhausting being Handsome and brilliant, and I was Handsome and brilliant all day yesterday. I decided I would take a nap instead.



Hopefully my Staff can handle things for a while.

PS AAB Photographer just found out that she has taken almost 1500 pictures of me since I was hired here at the Library. (Most of them are really obnoxious close-ups and not suitable for unleashing on the Internets.)

Real Mancats Love Pink Bows and Flowers

I have decided that I am quite a fan of Pink Bows, and I'm not ashamed one bit.

One of my Staff Ladies got some flowers last week, so she decided to put them in the window (to help scare winter Away). I pulled the Bow off to see if it would be good to eat.

It was.


When I got bored with munching on the Bow, I decided to see if the flowers looked good to eat.

Brace yourselves. . . I hear this one has extra-special AWWWWWW power.


Flowers are only good for a few nibbles, since I don't want to urp them back up again.

But the Bow. . . I worked on the Bow all weekend. . .


My Staff kept moving the bow, sticking it back on the flowers, trying to make it hard to get--but I am One Determined Cat. (MY ABs also say lucky thing the Bow tore off in little pieces or I'd be having "issues"--whatever that means.)

The moral of this story is my Staff Ladies need more flowers (with big Bows) sent to them at the Library.
