My Fourth Finding Day!

As most of you guessed, today is Friday was my Finding (or Gotcha) Day!  (Slow help around here.)

I have been a Found Cat for four whole years!

AB Karen made a cake for me for my Finding Day.  I misunderstood and thought the cake was for my eating, but really it was in honor of my Awesomeness.  But I didn't realize that until after I licked the corner.  That's why there's a knife sticking up--it means "Reserved For Tober Do Not Eat!"

According to all reports, it was a very good cake!  I can say that the frosting was very nice.  :)

I got lots of extra treats and tummy rubs and hugs for Finding Day.  I managed to nap for a good deal of it, so I think it was a success.

AND, just when I thought Finding Day couldn't get any better, I received an Official Visit from two foreign (not from Boone County) dignitaries!  Janet and Bill Buckley came to see me, and they brought presents!

AAB Becki carried me, fresh from my midafternoon nap, to meet my visitors:

They brought me a package of Party Mix cat treats! and a special 'nip pillow.  Check this out:

Bill works at the Mooresville Public Library with Cauli le Chat, the Feline Roving Reporter.  Remember my visit with Flat Five?  She's a busy busy reporter-Cat, and I'm sure she had lots to do in Mooresville, but she sent Bill and Janet to document my Fourth Finding Day. I could tell that Bill and Janet are great cat people, so I did them the rare honor of Standing Still and Letting Them Pet Me.

Cauli's minions are obviously much more "with-it" when it comes to blogging about important events in a timely fashion (Help is still Wanted, folks).  You can read all about the visit on Cauli's Blog, which got updated on Saturday--while my AAB Blog Helper is frantically helping me type this at 3:19 pm three days AFTER my Finding Day!

Check out the snazzy shirt that Bill is wearing!  (Ideas are forming, TPL staff!)

To see the Full Report from Cauli and the Minions, see Cauli's Saturday post.  While you're at it, check out her other posts, and the really cool MPL book trailers and videos, too.

Thanks to all of my blogging friends for the Finding Day wishes!

Foodie Friday

Many of you were shocked and appalled when you found out that I did NOT get to try any of the Wonderful Foods at the International Food Tasting a few weeks ago.

I was shocked and appalled, too, and I let the Staff know that I felt left out and sad.

So to rectify this grievous error, my coworkers arranged for me to have a Food Tasting of my Very Own.

No Humans Allowed.

Here I have Posty-Notes, two kinds of Temptations, Pounces, Stinky Fish Flakes, Party Mix, Catnip, and a Gum Wrapper! I love love love all of these things!

Now, the Staff doesn't actually feed me Posty-Notes. What happens is, they use Posty-Notes to leave each other Super-Important Library Business Messages, and I eat them when they go home at night. I especially love the tiny ones.

I love the special Stinky Fish Flakes, too. AAB Cathie feeds me these special. Nobody else has any in their desk drawers.

I also love Gum Wrappers, especially Orbit Sweet Mint flavor. When AAB Christine gets out a piece of gum, I come running to see if I can have the wrapper. Usually she hides them in her desk drawer, because she discovered that if she puts them in the trash I find them and eat them.

I didn't get the Gum Wrapper in the picture because I'd already stolen one this week.

My Food Tasting was delicious and exhausting.

Now, furry blogging friends, I highly suggest that you demand a special food tasting of your own! What are your favorite treats? Do any of you have strange things you like to nom on?

Full of treats and Love,

Tober

Finally Friday

The library meeting rooms have been visited by an Anonymous Artist. This person has captured very perfectly my expression when about 30 children come to pet me at the same time:

Isn't that great? No one seems to know who made this wonderful Picture of me, but AAB Becki has been commanded NOT to erase it from the wipey-board. (She usually listens pretty well.)

But just in case someone comes in who DOESN'T listen, it is now preserved forever and ever on the Internets.

AAB Christine, in her (vain) attempts to be officially re-Hired, has been bribing me with fresh Catnip.

Do you see the orange posty-note in the background? That is my reminder to thank Von for bringing in nice blue "deposit" bags for me (mostly because my Blog-helper is forgetful and doesn't help me post enough). Blue is a manly color, so they are double-appreciated. Thank you, Von!

Junior and Orion let me know that I was featured on mousebreath! earlier this week. I had never heard of mousebreath! before, but now I know that it's a really neat online magazine by cats and for cats (and cat lovers). Skeezix submitted a nice post about my Bossliness, and as a result of his writing, I am now officially Emperor of the Library!

According to Wikipedia (which may-or-may-not-be-true), "the emperor of Japan is the only reigning monarch with the title." Well! I'm just going to have to fix that silly Wikipedia article, I think.

I hope everyone has a happy weekend!

Good to the Last Drop

When I Boss my staff, I try to make sure that they are not wasteful. Wasteful is Bad. Here we try to make our books, computers, printer toner, paper, furniture--everything--last as long as possible. Staff are only allowed four squares of toilet paper. . .

Okay, maybe I'm not quite that strict!

Anyhow, I did catch one of my AABs getting ready to waste precious Library supplies on Friday:

See that look on my face? That is disappointment. That is "surely I Bossed you better than this." That is SADNESS over the near-waste of precious Catnip. Throwing away perfectly good Catnip, even the crumbs, is grounds for Firement. Never mind that AAB Wasteful also brought a new bucket of Catnip (with a toy Feline Training Device inside)--there was perfectly good Catnip-dust in the bottom of the old bucket!

That's the best part!

So I got it.

Sometimes being a big Mancatly Library Boss means you have to get your whiskers dirty.

A Forever Pepper and Other Gifts

I have been working on this post since last year--December 21 to be exact!

So before I start on my Pepper story, I want to say Merry Late Christmas and Happy Late New Year and I hope that everyone is safe and had a wonderful time with family and got lots of treats and tummy rubs and Catnip. I have had very Happy Holidays with my Library Staff and especially My Assistant Boss Mommy Karen who can't stay out of the library when it is Closed and spent lots of time with me when all the other slackers employees were off doing non-Tober related things.

Yesterday (really December 20, now!) in the mail I got a Forever Pepper.

It is green & orange like my little greenish orangish pepper (RIP) was, and it is cram-packed full of some powerful 'nip. I like normal catnip, but this catnip is super special. When I'm with my pepper, I lick it and bite it and chew it and bunny-kick it and rub my face on it and Love it with All My Heart.

Here we are together.

*This is where there should be a video of us playing together, but Blogger is being Bad and won't let me post it. So maybe I'll save it for later, and here's another picture.*

Because I love my Pepper so much and so violently, my Assistant Bosses have decided to keep it in my treat drawer, so that I can enjoy it while I'm being supervised. (I think they just want to take lots of pictures of me being fierce and Mancatly.) Thank you Pepper-givers for my special treat--you could probably go into business making Forever Peppers!

On Christmas AB Karen got my stocking down and I got treats! I got some from Santa and some from a kitty friend of mine named Chi.

Then, a few days later, I got some of Frankie Frank's Fabulous Feline Frenzy Inducing Homegrown Organic Catnip! And treats!

Here I am wondering why in the heck we're taking pictures of the stuff instead of rolling in it:

This Catnip is also not like the normal stuff (although I like that, too, Staff). This stuff makes my nose super-excited and I can eat whole leafs of it at a time! And then I take a nap. Thank you Kelly for my treats! Now could you please send Karen a note and let her know that she doesn't need to be all stingy with it?

My staff has been very busy un-decorating the library and leaving bits of garland and other sparkly things everywhere. They've also been working to make a January newsletter since (oops) it's now January. And on top of that they've been doing the usual library things like checking out books and shelving books and drinking coffee and eating chocolate. It's exhausting watching them work so hard.

Feeling like One Special Cat,

Catnip, Storms, Bravery & Planners

On Wednesday, I was given a heap of Catnip by my Assistant Assistant Boss Linda W. I expressed my appreciation by passing out next to it for a good hour and a half:

I would have stayed in the position ALL DAY, but I heard the pitter-patter of little feet and a high-pitched voice say "Look Mommy, a kitty!" and so this is where I ended up:

(Please note the heap of abandoned Catnip, as well as the still-pink and Unmancatly Feline Training Device Box under the chair.)

On Thursday we had Thunderboomers. I am Not A Fan of storms and the accompanying Thunderboomers. I feel that when the storms get going, the absolute most safest place for me to be is on the stairs:

Apparently no one else felt that this was an adequately safe place (something about getting Stepped On!) and they tried to move me to other places in the Library, but I would have none of it. I wanted to be on the stairs. So my Staff took turns guarding me on the stairs--they weren't worried about being Stepped On! If they were so worried about me but were willing to risk their lives watching over me, I must have a Very Brave Library Staff.

Here is another picture. In this picture, AAB Christine has gotten her planner out. This is a book that she opens, scribbles some words in, and then forgets to open for a week or so. Then she gets mad at herself because apparently she was supposed to DO something about the words she scribbled. I have decided that this planner should be recycled as a Seat for Tober:

Thank you for reading this slightly weird post. This is what happens when my Blog Helper is too busy doing stuff like ordering books. Everybody have Wonderful Weekends!

The most important thing on anyone's To-Do List,

Not Dead

Apparently my present for Assistant Assistant Boss Mommy Karen has caused some confusion. Angel-Tober was placed on the adult circulation desk next to a big vase of Flowers. No one thought anything about this until people started asking if I had Died.

The very Important interoffice communication that alerted staff of the need to inform people of my not-Deadness:
This evening I moved the ceramic likeness of Tober. . .the one with wings, AWAY from the vase of flowers. . .Emily had 2 people ask her this evening if our cat had died. . .

Now my Staff will be mentally prepared to answer the question "What happened to Tober?" when people come to the desk all concerned. (It is Very Nice of them to be concerned.) I'm thinking of marketing myself as a Ghost and then we could have a Haunted Library!

Here I am posing with little Angel-Tober.

Here is further Proof that I am Alive and Well:

We had a dismal situation here for the last week or so as the Catnip Supply was getting low and Staff resorted to Rationing. So I have been rewarded for my patience with a Bucket of 'Nip. I was allowed, for a brief moment, to plunge my head in and lick some directly from the Bucket to celebrate my Aliveness.

Not-Dead,

Tober

Another Illegal Vacation

If you will remember, I abolished Vacations last year. For some reason, my Staff have chosen to ignore me on this point. My Assistant Boss has left for somewhere with sunshine, and my staff has worked Very Hard to ensure my happiness in her absence.

I was presented with a wonderful ball of compressed Catnip!

*lick lick lick lick*
You can see I have mastered the Art of Holding It Still with my right paw. This keeps me from having to chase it around. For some reason my AABs were a little put out by my mastery.

I have everything Under Control.
I have also received countless tummy rubs, treats, snuggles, and Cathie and Bonnie have come to visit me on Sunday, when the library is Closed. I may take it easy on Assistant Boss Karen when she returns. . . but we'll see how the rest of the week goes.

I was a little taken aback by the arrival of this book:

I am Displeased.
I do not know who ordered this or WHY they think it is appropriate for My Library. I have heard it is someone in the Youth Department, so I will have to have a talk with them. Mouses should not be in a Library! What if they get hungry and try to eat a book? What if a mouse scares someone, and the person runs screaming into AB Karen's office (assuming she isn't on Vacation, of course), and I jump onto my desk in surprise and knock my water cup over on Very Important Library Documents?

Because I am a good Library Cat, I will not demand that this book be sent back immediately. Someone could think that this is a Very Good Book, especially for our little customers who are learning to read. I realize that there may be wrong different opinions, and a good Library Cat realizes that all of these opinions should be represented. But still. . .

Wise and Just leader of the Thorntown Public Library,

Best. Presents. Ever.

Okay okay okay. I know I just posted but then these exciting One Whole Year Anniversary things started happening!

I got a present from my Staff. It is a Bunny-rabbit made out of a washcloth rolled in catnip and tied with a string and it is the best-smelling thing in the Whole World!

Here I am with the Bunny:

Ooooh. You smell nice.
I give the Bunny a hard time:

Where are you hiding the Catnip?
The Bunny is no match for my feline Prowess:

Bunny-rabbit, come here. Please.
And then I got my Very Own Cupcake with Cat-Treat Sprinkles:

Whipped Cream! I'm missed you!
Got a bit on my nose:

Did I get it?
I guess I really shouldn't eat my dessert first, but since it's my Hire Day. . .

I get special Whiskas food for dinner tonight!
This has been a Wonderful Day!

Hoping my tummy can handle all of this yummy goodness,

New Toys & Things!

I met a Tomato this week. I am told that this is a Fruit. It is Produce, so I made AAB Christine take it away from here.

You smell like Produce. Begone!
I also assassinated a roll of papers, and I did this without getting any labels stuck in my whiskers!

Label papers - 1, Tober - 1
Even though I am locked out of the processing office at night, I have learned that I can sneak in during the day sometimes and have fun with the paper products while my employees are busy answering the phone and waiting on customers.

I also think that my Staff people are trying to distract me from my love of chewing on Cords. They have brought some strange rubbery offerings that they seem to want me to chew on:

I am hugging the mousie because it contains Catnip.
They keep telling me that the skinny one is a Cord, but it's not. It's a rubbery worm, and it doesn't have all the interesting wires in it that a Cord has. They all stood around me on the morning they gave it to me and said "Chew it, Tober, it's a Cord. It's a Cord!" I'm not stupid.

Occasionally, when they're not looking, I sniff it and bat it around a bit. (The mousie has 'nip, so I don't mind it so much.)

One Smart Cat,

My Life is Grand!

I have been given the Life is Grand Award by my lovely friend Poppy Q! She is a beautiful girl-cat who lives in New Zealand with her mum, and she is very accomplished as a taste-tester and cozy-spot-finder. Thanks, Poppy!

I now will tell you five reasons why my Life is Grand:

1. I get to live (and Boss) in a Library. This is especially Grand, since I was found living Outside with no front fingernails to protect myself.

2. I have lots of people who love me--my Library Staff, my kind and gentle Library customers, and my Cat and human friends who visit my blog all the time.

3. There are many soft chairs in my Library, and I get to try them all! My Assistant Boss Karen even put a special blanket in my favorite chair to make it extra-cozy.

4. I get to have my Very Own Blog, and I've met lots of great Cats who have lots of fun stories.

5. My life is extra-exciting because of where I live. . . it is all full of people during the day, but at night I get complete reign over the building, which is 14,000 square feets. That's almost as good as living Outside, and I don't have to worry about something Bad getting ahold of me.

I would like to pass my Life is Grand Award to:

Reese, a pretty little girl-cat who I recently met. She wears a tuxedo even though she's a girl. How cool is that?

One of my earliest Blogging friends, Mr. Tuck. He is a master Contortionist and is working diligently to become a Mancat.

BooBoo Black, who has contributed greatly to the feline community by instructing cats around the world How to Control a Big Chair.

Zippy, Speedy, and Sadie over at Kattonic Cats, who tell wonderfully Funny stories about their humans and each other. They make up a very accomplished Human Bean Training Team. They live in Wisconsin. I wonder if they like cheese?

Kirzon, Floyd, Lola, and Virgil (and their human, Amy) at House of Cats. They are some newer Blogging friends who live in the Land of Illinois, and Amy posts lots of nice stories about them.

Before I go, I had better post a picture of me. Hmmm. . . let's see what the Photographer got on the camera-card:

Manly paws and 'nip.
Oh, I like this one a lot! See that green in the right front of the picture? That's 'nip! I'm getting ready for a good roll in it!

Living Grand-ly,

Tober

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mommy's Day to all of my Assistant Assistant Boss Mommies.

Reasons I love my Mommies:

1. They give me a nice place to live and work.

2. I get lots of very tasty foods.

3. They give me treats, even when I don't do special tricks for them.

4. We have wonderful conversations. . . although most are a bit one-sided.

5. They didn't kick me out of my library, even after I ate lots of Important Cords.

6. They always have places on their desks for me (although sometimes I have to re-arrange things a bit).

7. They give excellent tummy rubs!

8. My litter box is always clean and fresh-smelling, like flowers.

9. They come to me when called.

10. I get great massages.

11. They share their seats.

12. They do not complain when I am shedding--except for when they wear black clothes.

13. They brush me sometimes.

14. I do not like the V-E-T, but they bring me to visit him so that I can stay healthy and live a long time.

15. They give nice chin scritches, which make my whiskers very excited.

16. They let me hide under their desks when someone scary or fast-moving comes in the building.

17. They heat up my supper when it's been in the fridgerator.

18. I am carried to supper every night.

19. They know I love my catnip, so they keep me well-supplied!

20. They love me back!

I want to wish a Super-Special Mommy's Day to Assistant Boss Mommy Karen. Thank you for finding me and giving me such a special place to live. I think I'm the luckiest Cat in the world!

Happy Mommy's Day to all of the Kitty-Mommies out there. There's nothing like realizing you've found your Forever Home.

My Library is front-page material!

Hi, hi, hi!

This week we got the Lebanon Reporter newspaper, and it came with the Boone County Tourism Guide. Guess what! My Library and the giant outside water fountain were on the cover.

Let me tell you what it said INSIDE:
Helen at the Well stands at the west entrance of the Thorntown Public Library, 124 N. Market St., Thorntown, Boone County, Indiana.

The eighteen water spouts of the 12 1/2' steel and aluminum fountain were installed on August 31, 2007, and are activated annually from May through October. More than 334 donors contributed to the project to restore to Thorntown the fountain that graced Main and Market Streets from 1909 to 1944.

The new fountain is a replica of the original placed by Anson Mills, engineer and Civil and Indian wars soldier, who was born on a Thorntown farm and in 1909 provided Thorntown a safe (from typhoid fever) water system and four fountains. The largest, the 32-foot Mills Memorial Fountain, was in honor of his parents and included two bowls and a large basin as well as the central figure and three others seated at the base. Residents still recall ice skating in the bowl and meeting their dates and future spouses at the fountain. In 1944 the fountain was removed so that Indiana 47 could become a state highway.

The present fountain was reproduced in proportion to the library's entrance and represents the custom of welcoming visitors by the offering of water.

So we are all Very Excited that My Library is on the cover of this magazine. I think that the Boone County Tourism folks did a very nice job talking about our special fountain, but does anyone else notice something MISSING from this article?

Like maybe:
The Thorntown Public Library is also home to (and under the watchful eye of) Tober the Cat, who began his reign in late 2008. Tober is an extremely handsome orange tiger-kitty, and he graciously entertains visitors Monday through Saturday. He loves treats, catnip, and tummy rubs, and if visitors are very, very lucky (and generous with treats) he will often demonstrate how Assistant Boss Karen fetches Apples that he tosses into his wastebasket.

I think this would be my magazine cover if I were the Featured Attraction; I think it makes me look nice and tall:

I think the next big Thorntown fountain should be called Tober at the Water Dish.

Planning ahead,

Tober

Treats

On Saturday I learned that I do have a limit when it comes to treats. Unfortunately I learned a little too late. I would have pictures, but my photographer was not available, and you wouldn't want to see them anyways.

Today I got mostly tummy rubbings and a little Catnip. I feel all better now. I think I'll take it easy on the treats for a while.

Oh, and on further consideration (and attendance) I've decided that Staff Meetings are fabulous! No matter how "Important" the meeting is, my tummy is First Thing on the Agenda!

He of the rumbly tumbly,

Update on my Toenails

Most of you probably remember the horrible Accident that I had a few months ago in which I lost my precious Toenails. My left foot got infected and was stinky, but Dr. Jon at the Thorntown Veterinary Clinic gave me Medicine and said that I would get All New Toenails someday.

Well, I'm here to inform you that they're here! The new ones aren't very impressive just yet, but I have nubby little Toenails on my left foot! One of my Assistant Assistant Bosses discovered them this week, Upside-Downed me, and announced my Big News to the Staff. I was hoping she would wait until they were full-sized and Razor sharp, but it doesn't take much to get the People excited around here, and I like to let them have their fun. It is part of my Management Style.

For those of you who don't know, Upside-Downing is this horrible thing that some Staff members like to do to me. They scoop me up (usually from a Nap, when I'm all Soggy and warm) like a Human baby and carry me around with my Feet in the air. It's a bit humiliating, by my Tummy does get rubbed quite a lot when they do it to me.

You cannot see my new Toenails in this picture, but you can see that I have strong, manly Feet:

This has been a Very Busy Week. I was beginning to feel Neglected, because everyone was so excited about the new Plastic-Scented Evergreen Library Cards that they almost forgot to give me Dinner a few times.

Usually my dinner is prepared while I am Napping, and a Staff member comes to notify me that it is ready. Sometimes, because I am still sleepy from the Nap, they carry me to my Cafeteria and set me directly in front of my bowl. (This is a Very Nice Thing to Do.)

Lately I have been waking from my Nap, going to where my dinner should be, scowling at the crusty bit of breakfast left in the bowl, and yelling at the nearest Staff person. Then they go "Oh, Tober, you need dinner!" like it's a big surprise or something!

On the flip side, I did learn something very valuable this week. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, when the Library is open until 8:00, the Staff still feeds me at 5:45, so I don't get Upset by a weird change in my schedule.

Well, if I eat my Dinner really fast when Assistant Boss Karen isn't looking, there is a chance that she will feed me again, thinking that I missed Dinner!!!!

The Library Staff has been very generous with the Treats and the Catnip this week. When they get Stressed Out from all of their Very Hard Work, they talk to me and I make them Happy again. Lucky for me, the Giving of Catnip seems to make them Happy, especially Bonnie, who always caters to my need for a nice roll in the floor.

Here I am appreciating all of Bonnie's hard work and Catnip-giving:

If you click and make this picture Big, you will see that I have many, many pieces of Catnip stuck to my fur.

I also had my picture taken while I was lounging near the water fountain one night. I do not usually let people take a lot of pictures of me (especially with the flash on), but I was reminded that many of my Adoring Fans can't make it to the Library to see me in Person. I wouldn't want them to suffer because they live lots of miles away! I will try to be better about picture-taking in the future--unless I am cleaning myself at the moment. These pictures really capture my Irresistability.

Here I look like I am waving. "Goodbye, Photographer, I am trying to Sleep!"

Here I am Just Plain Adorable:

Now I have Updated you on my Week. I will try to write more often, but it is very hard for me to get on the Computers here, since the Staff is hogging them all. I think I need to remind them of the Importance of my Job.

Your Newly-Toenailed

The Evergreen cards are here! Hooray!

Hi everyone! This is a Very Special Blog Post to let all of my Wonderful Customers know that the Evergreen Indiana cards have arrived at the Thorntown Public Library.

I have inspected them, and found them to be quite Green.

Here I am sniffing one:

I had requested Catnip-scented (to go with the Green), but apparently this holds no appeal for most Library customers. These smell like plastic.

The Evergreen Cards will give our Thorntown Public Library customers the Super-Powers to visit places like Lebanon and Zionsville to check things out! To see a list of Libraries participating in Evergreen Indiana, visit my Library's website.

See you soon!

Tober

PS--My Staff is Excited about these new cards, too. Which I think is a little strange, since they see Library cards every day.

Sunday, March 8, 2009

Oh what a week!

I am very, very Sorry that I haven't had time to post in the last week. It has been very busy at the Library, and the Staff has worked hard to prepare for the new Library system. They all did Training so that they can be Very Good Library Staff when we open at 2:00 on Monday.

They have asked me to relay a message to our Wonderful Customers: "Thank you for being very patient with us and for making the effort to return most of your items by this week-end. This will make the transition easier for all of us, and we can't wait to see you again when we have our new Evergreen system up and running!" Or something like that.

Monday they had a Staff Meeting which I attended. I have learned that I should be present for Staff Meetings, because when I roll over in the center of the table, anyone within reach is unable to resist my remarkably soft belly-fur.

They worked hard with this Evergreen thing. . . so hard, that at first I thought the attentions to ME were going to decline. This was not the case. I got Catnip every day. I usually don't get Catnip every day, but I think they felt Guilty because they were focused on Other Things.

Here I am loving my Catnip:

I am also learning that the library has many wonderful Sleeping Places. It has been warm here, and there are lots of things to watch out the windows as Spring comes. (I guess Hoodie-Hoo Day works, so I must be on the lookout for other Human Super-Powers.) I find that it is very Peaceful to take afternoon naps in the Adult Stacks.

Here I am hanging out in a Favorite chair by a Favorite window:

Can you see me?

On Friday I found something to Hunt in the Technology/Genealogy/Head Librarian/Cataloging Office (this office has a LOT of Staff in it). It was on Linda's desk, and I tried to rearrange things to get to it. It was very Exciting, although I never caught the thing:

Notice how very Serious my Assistant Boss Karen is in this photo. She and Cathie, Linda, and Christine were all very dedicated to the Hunt of the thing. My Staff makes an excellent Team when called into action. If the thing is still in the Library next week, we will undoubtably find it and give it a stern talking to. If I don't eat it first.

The highlight of the week was on Saturday when I was visited by a Celebrity. Big Red, a renowned Beanie Baby Bear, was driven to the Library by his Personal Assistant Judy Cox. Big Red is a World Traveler, and I was Most Excited to meet him. He is small in size but very big in Personality and Charm (kind of like me!). We had a photo session--with TWO photographers--which in my opinion is Very Big Doings.

Here I am posing with Big Red on my desk:

I even signed Big Red's autograph book and gave him the link to this blog in case he wants to keep in touch. I think I should have an autograph book, too, so I can keep track of all of the Very Important People I meet!

As you can see, it was a very fun-filled week!

Have a nice Sunday!
